Welcome to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
Pictured Rocks is located 20 miles east of
Munising, on the upper penninsula of Michigan.
Pictured Rocks are sandstone
bluffs that formed from thousands of years
of wave erosion. The colors of the bluffs
are due to the mineral composistion of the
sandstone.
