In Preparation of the Expedition to Lengai

The photos of what you see here is what we do before our hike up Ol Doinyo Lengai, Masaai for Mountain of God. The trip from Arusha to the the base of Lengai is about 200 miles. The road from Arusha to Mto Wa Mbo was paved in 2003. The road from Mto Wa Mbo to the base of Lengai is rough. We go thorugh many gullies and soft dusty ground. Along the way we some some Masaai villages, animals, large dust devils and strange land features of Tanzania's Great Rift.
