Haleakala Facts:
Haleakala rises 10023 feet above sea level. 18000 feet of the mountain is underwater giving it a total of 28000 feet above the ocean floor. It last erupted in 1790 and it is certain to erupt again in the near future. The eruption occured on the southwest rift zone of the mountain.
